#GOJUSTHR hold its 3rd Project Steering Committee Meeting with CHR, EU, and AECID




The Governance in Justice II: The Human Rights Component, through the leadership of Commission on Human Rights Chairperson Richard P. Palpal-latoc and European Union Head of Cooperation Christoph Wagner, holds its third project steering committee meeting on Tuesday, 30 January, to showcase the project's milestones, financial standing, and forthcoming strategies as the project nears completion.

Present at the meeting are European Union in the Philippines Programme Head Alicia Louro-Peña, AECID Philippines for International Development Cooperation Project Manager Almudena Villarino, DT Global Project Management Division Director Ricardo del Pozo, DT Global Project Manager Maria Paula Jimenez, CHR Executive Director Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia, CHR Planning and Management Office Director Mary Joyce Crisanto, CHR Project Management Division Chief Princess Molleno, and the GOJUST II-HR Technical Assistance Team, comprising Robert Francis Garcia as Team Leader, Arvin Chua as Key Expert in Planning, Monitoring, and Research, and Rey Guanzon as Key Expert in Finance and Administration.


On its 2nd iteration, the GOJUST Human Rights Project paved the way for enhanced collaboration among diverse stakeholders and fostered greater community engagement in human rights initiatives. It also opened doors to innovative approaches to address pressing human rights concerns.


Chairperson Palpal-latoc extends sincere appreciation to the EU and AECID for their steadfast dedication to advancing human rights in our country.


He emphasized, "The CHR grows and scales successfully with your dedicated partnership. Through your assistance, we can carry out various human rights initiatives and enhance our capabilities. This year, we are introducing operational improvements to facilitate prompt, accessible, responsive, and excellent human rights services to Filipinos here and abroad."

CHR is committed to accelerating the implementation of programs for institutional strengthening to promote and protect human rights, prevent human rights violations, and foster partnerships with Civil Society Organizations across the country.

#GOJUSTHR is a program led by the CHR and co-funded by the EU and AECID, and aims to improve the lives of Filipinos by empowering them to uphold their human rights. #CHRNgLahat
